Dedication of Lancaster Switch Cloverleaf and a new highway between Coal Run and Excelsior will be held next Wednesday afternoon by the Lower Anthracite Regional Economic Development Organization, Inc.

Plans for the dedication ceremonies, which include a luncheon, were announced today in invitations mailed by LAREDO.

The $2 million project, one of the largest highway improvement programs in the area since the construction of a four-lane route through Tharptown, was completed recently by the Middlecreek Construction Company of Winfield. The project included a cloverleaf design approach and exists from Route 61 at Anthra Plaza Shopping Center.

There was some indication that among the officials expected to attend the dedication program is Victor Anckaitis, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. State legislators as well as local elected officials have been invited, also.

The ceremonies will be held near Anthra Plaza Shopping Center, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
