EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State redshirt sophomore linebacker Cal Haladay has been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday morning.

Haladay, a Southern Columbia (Class of 2020) alum, posted a career-high 3.5 tackles for loss — resulting in 10 total yards lost — and finished with nine total tackles in the Spartans’ 23-15 upset road win over then-No. 14 Illinois on Saturday.
