COAL TOWNSHIP — If you take a trip to the Shamokin Area High School swimming pool, you won’t just see students competing for precise times or performing at a championship level, but you’ll also see a family working in unison towards common goals each week during a five month period.

With Shamokin Area’s swim team updating the record books consistently over the past three year, one might wonder what goes into making a championship, record-setting group of athletes in the water.
