SHIPPENSBURG — Despite a spectacular start to the meet, the Southern Columbia Area boys’ track athletes were concerned that some team with more athletes than Southern’s four, would score more team points in the PIAA Class 2A meet.

It turned out that when Jake Rose and Braeden Wisloski won the 110-meter hurdles and the 100-meter dash, respectively, and the 4x100 team of Rose, Wisloski, Gavin Garcia and Jake Davis also took the gold medal, the race for state supremacy was over.
