When it came to the 110-meter hurdles, Southern Columbia’s Jake Rose was so dominant that he was actually disappointed after cruising to yet another state title at Shippensburg this past Memorial Day Weekend.

Why? Because despite beating the second-place finisher by an unfathomable 0.58 seconds, the 2022 News-Item Boys Track and Field MVP finished just 0.09 seconds shy of the state record of 14 seconds flat set in 2008 by Montoursville’s Keenan Michael.
