HERSHEY – Katie Moncavage had one of those days that could have turned out better, but upon further review turned out to be rather memorable – especially when she has a chance to reminisce some 20 years from now.

Although hoping for a slightly better finish, Moncavage claimed fourth place in the Class A girls’ portion of the PIAA Cross-Country Championships Saturday at the unseasonably warm Parkview Course, clocking a 20:05 over a 5,000-meter course littered with fallen foliage and scattered tree roots. Moncavage was the only area runner to medal.
