FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP — If someone were to tell Southern Columbia’s head coach Derek Stine last month that the Tigers, then 7-9 with two must-win games left in the regular season, would be playing in the state championship this Friday, he probably wouldn’t have believed them.

“I would have never guessed it if you asked us four weeks ago,” Stine said. “Honestly, we had a brutal schedule though, we truly did. The girls had tough games all season long and without a doubt, it made us a better team.”
