SWIMMING
Shamokin splits vs. Central Mtn.
LOCK HAVEN — Shamokin’s boys swimming team squeaked out a 68-66 win over Central Mountain on Wednesday at Lock Haven University, while the Lady Indians lost, 95-50.
According to Indians coach George Zalar, many of his swimmers — both boys and girls — set new personal records.
“Our swimmers have been putting in the work and are subsequently getting the results,” Zalar said. “They push each other and encourage each other, and while they understand their objectives, they have fun achieving them. We are excited to continue forward as we inch closer to leagues and districts.”
Individual results were not provided.
