COAL TOWNSHIP — Shamokin cross country teams split a home meet against Bloomsburg Wednesday as the girls team pulled off a tight victory and the boys team fell to the Panthers, respectively.

On the girls side, Bloomsburg runners Rebecca Mench (23:17) and Myah Stackhouse (23:51) claimed the top two spots, however, four consecutive finishers for the Indians (Aubrey Shultz, 24:41; Kayla Harvey, 25:37; Kate Amato, 25:43 and Katlyn Brunson, 25:44) were able to bring the team back within distance of earning the victory.
