The Eagles were competitive with each of the teams they lost against — Freedom (42-36), Horseheads (52-30) and Mifflinburg (36-31).

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Donovan James scored 25 points, Michael Hood added 19 and Tom Reisinger managed 14 to lead the Red Tornadoes over North Schuylkill, 83-77, on Saturday.

The Spartans got hot in the fourth quarter, scoring an outstanding 32 points in the stanza, but Mount Carmel held them off with a 26-point quarter of its own.

Mount Carmel is now 9-1.

Schultz scored his 2,000th career point in the game and Klembara managed to hit the 1,000-point milestone on the same night.
