COAL TOWNSHIP — Lourdes Regional’s boys basketball team took care of Weatherly pretty easily Thursday night, cruising to a 77-49 win.
Colin Lokitis and Alex Hughes led the Red Raiders with 26 and 22 points, respectively.
Lokitis added 13 rebounds for a double-double, and Trebor Erb also reached double figures in the points column with 13.
Lourdes (4-8) returns to the hardwood on Saturday at Northumberland Christian.

SWIMMING
Shamokin swimmers perform well at Central
ESPY — Shamokin and Mount Carmel’s swimming teams competed in a tri-meet at Central Columbia on Tuesday.
On the girls side for Shamokin, the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Carly Seedor, Alexis Bressi, Danika Lahr and Madalyn Roman took first overall.
Marion Ulrich and Bressi took second and third in the 50 free, Seedor and Hannah Bashore took second and third in the 100 free, Kameryn Kramer took second in the 100 breast, and Liela Bellis took second in the 100 fly.
For the boys, Anthony Feudale placed second in the 200 freestyle and third in the 100 free, Oskar Moraski took third in the 100 back, and Eric Zalar placed third in the 50 free and 100 breast.
The 200 medley relay team of Moraski, Zalar, Vance Shiko and Feudale took second overall.
Brian Jovel-Martinez and Shiko performed backward focused dives in the diving side of the competition.
Times were not provided, nor were any results for Mount Carmel.
Shamokin and Mount Carmel both return to action on Saturday. 11AM at home against Pottsville.
The Indians will host Pottsville, while the Red Tornadoes will host North Schuylkill.
