Boys basketball Lourdes Regional 53, Williams Valley 40

WILLIAMSTOWN — Lourdes boys basketball contained the Vikings for a 53-40 road win on Friday.

Thomas Schultz and Adam Sandri had 18 points to lead the Red Raiders.

Lourdes’ defense held the home team to 16 points in the second half.

COAL TOWNSHIP — The Indians rebounded from Thursday’s loss with a strong win at home on Friday, 67-50, versus Jersey Shore.

Collin Bowers had 18 points to lead the Indians and teammate Joe Masser had 13.

The Red Raiders outscored Williams Valley 13-2 in the first period.

Lilly Bickel tallied 13 points to lead Lourdes to the win.

Guard Grace Kelleher had a team-high 15 points to lead the way for Lewisburg.

Lydia Deptula scored 11 for the Indians.

DANVILLE — The Indians came a hair short of winning back-to-back games against high quality opponents, but Danville clipped Shamokin in overtime, 58-57.

The Ironmen had four players with at least nine points as Shane Kozick posted a team-high 16.

Senior Collin Bowers led Shamokin with 27 points.
