FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP — If someone were producing a film about this Southern Columbia Area girls’ soccer team, a good working title might be “Mission: Improbable.’’

After overcoming incredible odds just to win the District 4 Class 1A championship, the Tigers opened the state tournament Saturday night by pummeling District 11 champion Moravian Academy (Bethlehem) 6-0 in the quarterfinals at Frank Fullmer Field at Tiger Stadium. Southern moves on to host District 12 champion Conwell-Egan (Fairless Hills) Tuesday at 6 p.m.
