WILLIAMSPORT — Line Mountain sophomore shortstop Brooke Novinger wasted no time atoning for a rare mistake, and her ability to shake off an error was just one reason that the Eagles were celebrating back-to-back District 4 Class 2A championships at Elm Park on Saturday.

Senior pitcher Kya Matter was dominating in the circle, with Line Mountain in front 2-1 in the sixth inning when Novinger fielded a short-hop off the bat of Wyalusing’s Laci Norton and promptly air-mailed it over the head of first baseman Kaely Walshaw.
