Line Mountain beats Brandywine Heights, advances to state semi

Line Mountain pitcher Kya Matter throws a pitch during a Class 2A state quarterfinal game against Brandywine Heights Thursday in Pine Grove.

When Line Mountain’s softball team fell to Williams Valley in a regular season game back in the beginning of April, the Eagles were hoping to see the Vikings again in the state playoffs for a shot to get revenge.

Not only will they get that chance for payback on Monday when the two teams at 2 p.m. in Pine Grove, but a win would mean so much more as it would place the Eagles in the Class 2A state championship game.
