Results from a well-received Double or Nothing III pay per view last weekend, surprising major talent releases amidst an apparent general WWE overhaul and more compelling wrestling documentaries are three topics covered in this week’s edition of In This Corner.

Last weekend’s signature AEW pay per view will be remembered for a number of things. While there wasn’t a single blow-away matchup going in that would have an extraordinary level of anticipation for hardcore fans, the card was a solid one with significant depth to it. From an excellent buy-in match (as they are now called, as opposed to pre-show matches) between the ultra-talented NWA women’s champ Serena Deeb and the more than capable challenger Riho, won by Deeb with her serenity lock submission, thru the combination taped/live Stadium Stampede finale won by the Inner Circle with the youngster Sammy Guevara getting the pin on Sammy Spears after a 630, it was an almost universally praised show.
