Despite a reasonably strong and generally positively received show, fallout from the Royal Rumble and significant management changes coinciding with profit projections being revised downward that led to WWE stock taking a big dip, has left the road to WrestleMania 36 littered with a few landmines.

The 2020 Royal Rumble drew an announced sellout crowd of 42,715 fans (reported to actually be 36,000 by the Wrestling Observer) to Minute Maid Park in Houston for the annual extravaganza that featured a first half of the men’s rumble totally dominated by champion Brock Lesnar, who had the audacity of insisting on entering at number one and the power to back it up by impressively tossing a dozen early adversaries over the top rope. One may never see someone enjoy exhausting himself more than Brock did with his first fleet of opponents visiting Suplex city and getting F-5’d before being summarily dispatched on a flight to the floor.
