WWE’s interesting developments for Survivor Series, AEW’s frenetic build for Full Gear, its first pay-per-view since debuting nationally on TNT, and the relatively quiet resurrection efforts of Impact are three of four main topics this week In This Corner, along with the scheduled return of the Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling Alliance to Atlas this Saturday.

This year’s version of Survivor Series is going to be an inter-brand exercise among Raw, Smackdown and NXT with the delayed return of most of the roster from Saudi Arabia causing an unscheduled, but fortuitous call-up of NXT wrestlers necessary to fill-out a Smackdown show on Fox. With the episode having to be completely re-written at the last minute, as most of the roster sat on the tarmac in Saudi Arabia, they went with an NXT invasion angle that gave fans a refreshing show with new faces and matches that created significant intrigue, precisely what the company desperately needed after an abysmal rating for the previous week’s regular Smackdown fare that had landed on FS1 due to World Series coverage on Fox.
