Establishing the WWE main event for SummerSlam, another positive AEW effort on Dynamite and a special find for veteran wrestling fans are the focus this week In This Corner as we enter the last month of one of the most unique summers ever with the era of more questions than answers showing no signs of changing in the near future.
This past Monday night on Raw, Randy Orton challenged Drew McIntyre for a title match at the upcoming SummerSlam pay per view being held later this month. Normally the second biggest show of the year for WWE (some might argue that the Royal Rumble fits that bill because it sets the table for the Mania main event) and one of the original big four pay per views when there were only four, SummerSlam was supposed to be held in Boston this year and it was to have an NXT Takeover held with it on the evening before SS. Instead, both shows will take place in Orlando without fans in the stands due to COVID-19. When there will be live crowds again remains a mystery to all.
