The continued effects of COVID-19, yet another return by Goldberg on Legends Night at Raw and the passing of a prominent wrestling star from yesteryear are our top headlines this week in pro wrestling as the new year begins, unfortunately, too much like the old year ended.

Several members of the pro wrestling fraternity have recently been dealing with the scourge of the virus that has negatively impacted so many people worldwide. Mick Foley revealed he has just emerged from a three-week hotel quarantine since finding out he tested positive in mid-December. While he said he was fortunate to have relatively mild symptoms, he was not able to appear on Raw this past Monday as one of the legends. More importantly, he missed out on being with his family for the Christmas season. For those who know Mick, that had to be a particularly excruciating sacrifice as the Hardcore Legend is pretty well-known for his addiction to all things Christmas.
