A day after edging out Lewisburg in a tightly contested win, Line Mountain Post 504 lost to Hughesville on Saturday, 15-0.

Hughesville’s bats were hot during Saturday’s excessive heat warning, as the team hopped out to an earl 4-0 lead after the first inning. Adding some insurance runs in the third, Hughesville added four more runs to make things 9-0.

Line Mountain failed to string together enough base runners to get anything on the board, and ultimately lost in its second game of the Region V Division 2 Tournament at Bodine Park in Hughesville.

In Friday’s matchup against Lewisburg, Line Mountain’s Colton Schwartz played hero for Post 504 by hitting a RBI single in the seventh inning with two outs to win the game in walk-off fashion, 8-7.

Cam Gaw was the winning pitcher on Friday for Line Mountain.
