Annual seedling sale underway
Sweet Arrow Lake Conservation Association and Schuylkill Conservation District are again cooperating to sell quality seedlings for private landowners. All proceeds raised in the seedling sale directly supports Sweet Arrow Lake County Park, Route 443, Pine Grove. Evergreens offered are Concolor Fir, Norway Spruce and Eastern White Pine. These trees are excellent ornamentals or Christmas trees and are also good for windbreaks, landscaping and dense screens. Hardwoods for sale are Red Oak, Sergeant Crabapple, Arrowood Viburnum, Silky Dogwood and American Cranberry. These are trees and shrubs that will compliment any mix of evergreens and are beautiful no matter the time of year. Order forms can be downloaded at www.sweetarrowlake.com and must be placed by Wednesday, April 3. Pickup is Saturday, April 27, 9 a.m., at SALCP. For information contact “Porcupine” Pat McKinney at email@example.com or 570-391-3326 or Denise Donmoyer at firstname.lastname@example.org or 570-345.8952.
