With the world of college football, as with almost all major sports in the United States, thrown into uncertainty about how or even if a 2020 season will unfold, Penn State Coach James Franklin said Wednesday that he wants to be flexible about “doing whatever we possibly can do to make it work.”

That might include a number of Big Ten teams beginning play even if a few other programs within the 14-school conference delay their starts because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, Franklin said.
