SHAMOKIN — Youth sports have always been an integral part of communities and have provided high school teams with good feeder systems at the varsity level in various sports.

Since being established in 1947 and chartered in 1949, the Shamokin-Coal Township Juvenile Sports Association (SCTJSA) has provided that as well as an opportunity for boys and girls to get involved in football at a young age with its youth league for residents in and around the Shamokin area.
