Books

This selection of 2019 holiday gifts are, clockwise from upper left, the Pennsylvania Game Commission 2020 Wildlife Calendar, “The Ultimate Guide to Crossbow Hunting: How to Successfully Bowhunt Big and Small Game across North America,” “Archery from A to Z: An Introductory Guide to a Sport Everyone Can Enjoy,” the “Pennsylvania Game News” and “Pennsylvania Angler & Boater.”

This year’s annual reading list for suggested holiday gift giving is a short one, but is on target in more ways than one.

As for the two books on the list, both focus on archery and will help make everyone who reads them more accurate at the firing line and in the deer — as well as bear and turkey — woods. Completing the list of must reads are the official publication of the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.
