MOUNT CARMEL — Tuesday night’s football game between Southern Columbia and Mount Carmel has been canceled by the school district due to a concern for player safety.

Injury status, lack of recovery time, input brought forth by the training staff, team physician, and coaching staff were main reasons to cancel the game, which was a joint decision by the athletic department, administration and coaching staff following Friday night’s game against Hughesville.
