STATE COLLEGE — Every pitch seemed to matter during Thursday’s Class 2A Softball State Championship between Line Mountain and Ligonier Valley as both teams were held scoreless through eight innings.

With every pitch having so much weight, it’s expected for players to be on edge and full of nerves when entering the batter’s box. But for Kaely Walshaw, she was full of excitement as she stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning with teammate Brooke Barwick standing on first.
