World Wrestling Entertainment will present its Money In The Bank (MITB) pay per view tomorrow evening with a card that includes recently taped men’s and women’s ladder matches that ran concurrently at Titan Towers and title defenses for Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman coming from the Performance Center in Orlando. Winners of the two MITB matches secure briefcases that can be cashed in for opportunistic title bouts at any time, with such efforts usually leading to huge crowd pops and quick upset victories. It may be a while before we get any sizeable crowds, never mind huge crowd pops, which would both violate current pandemic guidelines.
Seth Rollins challenges McIntyre for the WWE title he captured at WrestleMania 36 with a win over Brock Lesnar, while Braun Strowman, fresh off his Universal championship victory over Bill Goldberg at Mania, is challenged by Bray Wyatt. Other bouts on the show include Bayley versus Tamina for the women’s Smackdown belt and a four-way for the Smackdown tag straps with the New Day defending against Morrison and Miz, Dorado and Metalik and Cutler and Blake. More matches could be added with Smackdown having their “go home” show for the ppv last night after our deadline. A five-part documentary on the Undertaker debuts tomorrow night on the WWE network after MITB.
